Recycling: What do people do in your area?
More and more cities, governments, and individuals are becoming concerned about protecting our environment and resources. However, for the individual citizen, what do people in your area do (or DON'T do) to recycle at home. Personally, we collect our newspapers for the week and take them to a local school down the street where they collect them for recycling. Furthermore, we also put some of our leftover food (e.g., banana peels, egg shells, vegetables, etc.) outside in a special box that turns the scraps into soil for our garden.
So, what about you and people in your area? What can we do more to protect our future?

Not many people in my area are concerned about recycling, so there are not many opportunities to be concerned even if you want to. For example, the schools collect paper for recycling only twice a year and not with a big enthusiasm. And to find another place where to take newspapers or other things for recycling is difficult. Though, we have special machines for used plastic bottles everywhere. I've never seen anybody except alchoholics and homeless people using them, but I do use)) Plus in our dacha we also have a special box for compost.
Here in town, Ciudad Juarez,we don't have a specific plan, we can recycle the garbage, in organic,inorganic,plastic,aluminium,etc...,and some places do, is a culture.
We can save energy turning off the lights that we are not using, I don't know we need take action about this concern. The planet is our enviroment,is all we have,is our home, the global warming for example is the red light now, we need to be aware and take big actions.

To save the environment, I try to buy some stuffs that are made of materials which does not ruin the nature. For example, I do not buy plastic stuffs.
I also have Recycle Bags for shopping.
The other thing that I do, is to reduce using washing machine;I collect all cloths and wash them together at once.
seprating garbages and puting them into the proper bins is another thing that I do.Moreover, instead of consuming paper towels for cleaning, I try to use fabrics. I collect glass bottles and turn them into decorating peices for my dining table. These are the methods that I try to do personally to keep the nature alive.
Here in Brazil, ordinary people like me are getting more and more concerned with the protection and preservation of our local environment. We have some special bins/trash cans usually located on the premises of buildings and of other public places such as shopping malls and resturants. Each can is for a specific type of material, which, of course, can be taken to a special place to be recycled.
I don't know how wide this area here is recommended. For I am a student, I'll focus mainly on my university. As far as I'm concerned, there's been improvement in protecting the environment, but still not much in recycling. There're even people having no sense of this activity. I hope in the future, there'll be more positive changes.
The recycling is an important issue, should all people become more care about it. In my country there are special companies collecting these materials, they have distributed containers with special colors in the public stores like Malls, supermarkets, in addition to the parks as kind of promotion In order to make these things familiar for the people. I think we should all support this job because we will save a lot and gain a lot.
No recycling center has been founded near our university. We do not konw where we can send the useful recycling materials.I think many people in my university still need education about how to collect the recycling materials. Most of them even don't konw what are the recycling matrials and they just throw away them whenever they want. This is a big problem for us.In my opinion, society, government and citizen should pay attention to the recycling and cooperate together to solve this problem so that our children can have a bright, beautiful and clean future.
Recycling isn't popular, especially in third world countries. If the aim is to penetrate through the minds of those living in developed countries, to recycle more and still no substantial change, how do we reach out to those in the poorest countries who have more things to worry about than their environment?! I think there's a geographical aspect to this question that, in reality, will be hard to solve.
Here, in Belgium, we have lots of different dustbins (for "usual" rubbish, biodegradable, plastic bottles, glasses,...) Of course some people do not care about it but in general people do it quite well I think. But it's not enough, of course

Recycling is a beneficial process, that could conserve our environment. However, not all of us could understand the impotence or this mechanism in our time. However, some people care of our surroundings by digging domestic waste, besides plastic things. Moreover, some of them gather & sortie plastics, glasses& papers in special cans.
First before talking about recycling to protect the environnement we need to use less packaging, produce less polluting cars and then we can talks about recycling.
Because it's the firm that polute more and after it's the citizens.
However, hich person must take the environnement into account on a daily basis.
Solar panes can reduce the price of electricity, heating and hot water. More and more people are interested. But the solar material is very expensive. It is ecological because it reduce the greenhouse effect. It is a profital for industrie. If the compagny use this material, it is good for the earth. It is a new trend.
I think that people are not enough sensitized about risk of the pollution. It's certainly due to a lack of information. Move over, it's difficult for people to change the past habits.
Personaly, I am in favour of recycling. It is important to sort out products to reduce pollution and save money. However, I think that people are not aware of the problem of the planet. That's why they should be have to be more prevention. But,a problem remain : people have difficulty to change their behaviour.
More and more people think of the protection of the planet. More and more companies invest money to develop eco friendly systems. As far as I am concerned, I make efforts to collect and select the waste. I think that there should be more organisations which protect the environment or giving the other organisations more money to promote their campaign.
Car-pooling, recycling are a good idea to protect our environment. I think that we should reduce the amount of waste and people should feel concerned. People should save energies, raw materials to reduce the greenhouse effect, water pollution, air pollution and so on.
We all know that the global warming results from environmental pollution. For goverments, they have their own ways to solve this issue. As far as I'm concerned, the individual citizen's awareness is very important to protect our environment. In my family, my mother usually uses two kinds of wastebin, one for garbages like plastic bags, bottles, cans and one for organic garbages like vegetables. Such division does not take us alot of time and we easily take them to places to be recycled.
Here in Taiwan, recycling is more and more popular and helps many people earn a living. The government plays an important role in the promotion and enforcement of recycling. People may not adapt themselves to recycling at first but get used to it in the long run.
While recycling sounds so essential, learning to strip unnecessary wastes is always the one and only one way to saving resources on earth. After all, recycling is a mere post-action, isn't it?
BTW, the quiz speech seems incomplete. Is it intentional?
In my area, most of the people don't pay much attention to saving the environment. Although recently there is a program calling everyone in my city to keep the city clean and green, but it seems like people don't really take any considerable action. I think the only thing that need to improve is that people should put more recycle bins on the side walk and at other public places. In my opinion, the main reason why people are likely to litter is that there's a lack of recycle bins. Another thing to be concerned is that many people are using plastic bags without considering the harm they are causing to the environment; therefore, raising public's awareness of this issue is necessary, too.
