I don't think it's always safe for older drivers, but at least there is a possibility that having poor experience of driving might cause accidents more. When I just got driver's license, I was not allowed to give a ride to other people by my parents. I can understand the car-rental companies don't want teenagers to drive their cars for their security.

I think the main thing that car rental companies concern the most is still money issue. Aging limitation is one way to could somehow protect both a company and consumers from risking car accident. Of all the car accidents, young drivers are responsible for the big part of them. It is true that, in most countries, people marks young drivers as beginners of driving although it could be negative stereotype toward the youth. It’s kind of unfair for those “good-drivers” that they got the bad name at the first place. To protest young drivers rights, I think they ask for a talk with companies and make a deal good for both of renting and driving.

I think older drivers are more mature and have more experience. I also think people from other countries need to have an international drivers license

I am an english learner who comes from Ecuador, South America. First, It is very common in my country to find the same policies in a car-rental company, but it is a service which is usually required by tourists or people who come from other countries. The main purpose of those policies seems to be the protection of the companies interests although their same customers would be protected from risking car accident.

I am a english learner come from taiwan.I got me motorcicle and car license. But I seldom drive the car on the road.First I dont have motor vehicle to drive. The second I dont have much drive experience so I be afraid of drive.I think this topic is hard to establish about what ages can get the licence? The different area and culture have different standare law.

I agree with the new proposal that licenses should be given to people in their 20's, because teenaged drivers are usually accounted for the most numbers of vehicular accidents. Being a teenager, they are very eager in everything including driving which sometimes resulting to being reckless and irresponsible. And I strongly believe, maturity comes with age.

make sense,
it must be more perfect that all statics should be assessed by authorities.

I believe that some older drivers are indeed more responsible, but it doesn't mean that all young drivers are reckless ones. Unfortunately, we tend to generalise and judge people by their age. It's said that age brings maturity and responsibility, but it doesn't seem a universal truth. Lots "older drivers" are victims of accidents due to over confidence.

I agree, I think that olders drives are more conciuous about driving. I have myself as a example. I recognize that I drive more safety now than I was twenty.

I don't agree that policy, cuz, all around world in people very various and not all of the older people always has strong responsibility. Nevertheless old aged, there is a lot of people that doesn't have responsibility than young people.
In stead of imposing that policy, agency has to instruct people in basic rule if the rules aren't followed then the people will be punished.
People watch it if rules are regulated strictly.
As all of you know well, driving car is very important to people. It can rescue people or drive one's death. So it is always need for stricter regulation.
I've been also got a license in 2 years ago and experienced many things if it is wanted or not.
As a result of experience, I realized that driving car is always need to careful.
So I want to instruct people to driving car is always careful if people who doesn't have license are remember it in mind.

Yes,I think it‘s very important。Many teenages cannot control themselves easilier than adult。And many senior are react slowly to an accident。It‘s the nature,we must admit this for themselves and for other peple’s safe。

In my point of view, what is important to the car rental agency is not the age of drivers but is the age of driving experience. Driving is a skill, so the more we practise, the more we are skillful and the less accidents we probably cause. If I were a car rental agent, I'd prefer to rent a car to a man aged 25 with five year driving experience than to one aged 40 with two year experience.

Definitely driving a car demand a huge responsibility. Assuming that you are conducting something that could take lives, and even worse, not just your life. Anyway, when I was younger than 25, actually in some situations I was really irresponsible. Sometimes we don’t think that a simple joke could heart somebody, and we play with the sort. 25 years old is a good age, which you start your own way up, without anyone or with less complicity. So than, we have to think twice before do something wrong or simply do something that could put you in the jail, if you know what I mean.

Driving a car today is a huge responsability. We must to be prepared for several situations because we are dealing with life.
In my opinion the most important is the experience time that a person has driving cars, because if you drive so many times in a day you will have experience enough to drive well.
For this reason, if i work in a car agency i would consider if the driver has enough experience to manage that car.
To sum up drive a car is serious and we need to have mature enough to drive well and do not put our lives in risk.

I think it dose, a younger driver has more chances of doing foolish things on the road trying to show-off or simply not understanding how fragile life is, a driver over 100 (for example) shouldn't drive as-well, but I guess he's physical condition would not allow it any-ways.

i think that when one wants rent a car one has to have in mind the size, the car's features, how many people are going to use it and the most important is the price per day...
