  1. Hello,

Thanks for this blog and for your site, they are very very useful for english learners.

I'm an iranian girl and I'm a sutdent in France. For me, re-entry shock is just during the first days after comming back home. May be because I come back to Iran at least one time a year.

Concerning Cultur shock, I didn't realy feel any cultur shock the first days I was in France but little by little I experience new things and new differences. Since I like french cultur, It was not at all difficult for me to adapting to this new cultur.

    Thanks

  2. thank you Randal for this useful blog. In my opinion the culture shock is harder since you have to adapt to a totally new different society with differnt lifestyle..
reentry shock can last a few days.

  3. I've never been abroad but I think that it's always a good idea to try to get acquainted with the culture of the country someone's going to travel to in order to make things go as smoothly as possible during their stay there.
Now as for re-entry shock, I think it is just a matter of time to feel "at home" again. I believe that our own culture is so ingrained in us that it is almost impossible to get rid of it.
