Buying a Car: New or Used?
Imagine that you are in need of a buying a car. Would you prefer to buy a brand new car or a used car? What factors do you consider when choosing a car: age, mileage, cost, reputation of company, reliability, or other? Share your ideas on this topic.

My wife and I just have a car. I don't think it'd be green-friendly if each of us had one car - since we're lucky enough to work at the same places and on the same days. We keep turns driving the car. Now as to the factors we consider when choosing a car, h'm... First of all, it must be the cheapest but the strongest one on the market. In other words, a good popular car. I'd rather buy a new car than a used one because I wouldn't like to spend more money on it fixing it regularly. Besides, it's generally given you a one-year warranty if you buy a new car. You may have it for one year and after that you sell it for a good price and buy another good brand-new car of the same model and make.
I think the reliability is the first I will consider because if you buy a worse car you may need tp pay more money to repair it.
I would prefer to buy a brand new car in my power,the safe reliability is my first thought factor. And what kind car is chosen from the purpose, if usually driving car long-distance so buying the strongest and the safest reliability, if only driving car in city, sure choosing good appearance under the safe reliability. There are many problems in used cars, more time will be stayed in repair place. I would prefer to take metro when going out doing things,unless necessary driving car.
I think this problem according to your particular situation. If you have a lot of money, of course you choose a grand new and well-known make car,like BMW,Benz.Else you can buy used car, in this way you saved money and can life like other that have a car.
I bought a used car last year and my observation was mileage, conservation and cost. I'm very happy about my car.
For me i rather defenetly buy a New becuase i be the first owner and I can trust my car anywhere i go to. But if i buy a used car i dont know what did the other person did to it maybe alot of milage some accidents that had been fixed you never know sometimes you can even get ripped off. So if it was me i would buy a new car "Nissan Skyline R34" =D.
I prefer to buy used car for low fee.

I'd rather to buy a brand new car,it's much better,because when you buy a used car you get a big problem always,the risks are so high.All cars are good when you give its maintenance appropriate,so the reliability factor is relative 'cause the most important is tht yo drive correctly.
If I purchase a used car, on the paper, I will check it in this order: mileage, year and price. And then I will try to find out how many owners have been involved and whether it has any accident records because it would, otherwise, be difficult to guess its quality as long as I don’t go and see the car in person. Finally, if I find a car considered “decent”, I will contact the owner as soon as possible not to miss the car, and go and see it as a whole, especially, taking a hard look at the condition of the engine.

I'm about to buy a car in June,2009
and I think I'm going to buy a used car because It's cheep way to get a car and I don't have much money for paying new car. If I look for around and serch internet or conect peoples then I think there's better used car.
Eeverything in this life depend on your budget as someone like me having a simple job in restaurant it's impossible to get a new brand car so people in my situation thier choices would be specified.
i would like to buy a brand new car,safe,strong,but the main problem that i can't afford in addition to this there will be a high insurance.
so used car are not as bad as people think about unless and drive correct and on the speed limit and checking the oil level and tyres as much as it supposed to be checked and by the way there are some places for selling car that offer warranties at least over than 6 months so that's awesome.
If I need to buy a car, I definitly
buy a brand new one.you don't know where a car comes from if you buy a second-hand car from a store or a seller.
My daughter bought a second hand car from acar2go. It is very smooth.
