I preferto rent a movie and watch it at home than go out and catch a movie at a theater for the following reasons.It is cost-efficient, comfortable, relaxed and so on when you watch movies at home.
ReplyDeleteRenting a movie and watching it are cheaper and you can adjust many things such as the volume and you can stop it when you want to drink water or go to the toilet.
ReplyDeleteAnd you would not be disturbed because some people in the theatre will talk about the plot loudly.
However, watching movies in the theatre is exciting as the volume and the darkness stimulate me.
I would choose watching movies at home because I can do anything.

I would love to watch a movie in the theatre instead of renting a movie and stay at home.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're sitting in the theatre, there'll be around 50 people surround you. The atmosphere is quite good whatever u see the scared movie or comedy.
Next, you can buy a combo popcorn meal as your snack food. By the way, we can't see a movie without popcorn & Coke, right!?
I prefer to movies at the theater because of the effects and sound. Unfortunately, in my country (Bolivia) there are a lot of stores that sell false copies of movies and it is very cheap and government doesn't do anything to prevent this.
ReplyDeleteWatching a movie at home is really cozy and besides that, you can rewind and listen to what you'd like to see/listen again. Especially for us, English learners. Don't you think so?

To me, i will watch film at home due to saving money a lot. And i don't have to go to the theater and i can save lots of time. Moreover, i can do any things if i want and isn't disturbed by around people.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to rent DVDs and enjoy them at home. Watching movies at a theater is not cozy, but really expensive in Taiwan. Although the stereo is luxurious and nice there, people next to me often make a lot of noise and distract my attention. That's an awful experience.
ReplyDeleteI like watching a movie at theater. I rarely buy snacks or popcorn in theater because is verry expensive. And I loved movie about true history. I hope watch a movie with my friends english class and teacher together.

I used to watch movies in the theater a lot, but now I usually stay at home and watch HBO.
ReplyDeleteThe price of tickes is rising, and sometimes most movies are not worthy of the price.
I think renting a movie is good, and you can watch it over and over as you like.

Sometimes, when the movie has special effects and a lot of action, is better go to the theater. But if you are tired and you prefer to stay in your house, is better rent a movie.

I think it's funnier watch movies in the theater.
If a movie has just been released on DVD, it's because it's no longer shown in cinemas. In that case, I think that I would buy or rent the DVD to watch the film. Otherwise, I would go to the cinema.
ReplyDeleteIf I were asked to cite a single reason, for theater's pre-eminence, I would point to its creation of a special world. To my mind, it is a splendid opportunity to feel like a film main character. The more you watch movie in the theater the less you want to left it. Watching movie at home has nothing to do with watching it on large screen of the theater with effects and a good sound. But...what I need is to have much money for going to the theater more often.
ReplyDeleteIf i were asked to watch film in the theatre or at home, I would recomend you to go to the theatre.What I need are the good effects and sound. But there are some reasons of watching movies at home: when you have no enough money because now tickets are expensive,in a way, or may be you are very tired.
ReplyDeleteAs to me, everything depends on the film. If it has impressive scenes, it's for sure better to watch it on the big screen. Of course, the tickets are quite expensive and many people do not go to the cinema just because of this reason, but for me it's like going out, a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your friends whom you haven't seen for a long time. Yes, you can do the same at home, renting a DVD, but I, personally, get much more pleasure from sitting in a comfortable chair, eating pop corn, enjoying the sound and the big picture in the cinema.
ReplyDeleteWhat I need is to go to the Theater with friends rather than stay at home and watch films on DVD. But both of these ways have advantages and disadvantages. For example when you're in the cinema you're surrounded by lots of people who are comment everything and laugh loudly. And you suffer from a lack of silence around. But at the same time, it's a great pleasure to watch a movie on the broad screen. Especially I like to watch movies in 3D format using special glasses. Watch films in 3D has nothing to do with watching them in usual way. It's amazing! The last movie I watched at a cinema in 3D was: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" I dare say that this film is best of all that I have looked in the past 2 years or so. This film left a deep and lasting impression on me. I suggest you watch it. And one more thing in conclusion, go to the cinema, it is much better than watching movies at home.;)

I am Polly, I am from Surgut, Russia. If I were asked what to do at the evening to watch a film at home or to go to cinema of course I would choose a cinema. As for me I would like to go to the cinema to watch a film. Firstly because of the quality of the film(quality of the film that is watched at the cinema has nothing to do with quality of the film which you watch at home), then you can watch film at 3D only at the cinema =)

To me , I prefer to watch the movies at home than in the theatre . So It is cheaper and I can see anytime . I can lay streched on the bed or talk about the plot that do not be afraid to effect people around .

ReplyDeleteAs for me, I would rather watch movie at home when I'm alone. I like totally being absorbed in events happening in the movie and do not like when somebody distract me from it even if he or she watches the movie too.
ReplyDeleteBut if my friend suggests me going to a theather I will most likely try to persuade him that watching movie at home is much better.
I prefer stay at home, be on the bed and prepare pop corn. Stop the film in each interesting scenes
ReplyDeleteLast month i went to the movie to see "Avengers" , I liked it a lot, is a fantastic and interesting movie, my sister invited me and she offered me pop corn and I accepted, because when I go to the movie with my friends never buy pop corn. I like all kinds of movies, but I prefer the horror movies to see in the teather because I like to see it in a big screen, and see comedy, romantic or others types of movies in my house.

ReplyDeleteWell the last that I went at the theater was last month, with my sister and her sister-in-law we watched "gods of Egypt". But usually we used to do some movie nights at home, because we enjoy being all together with my brother-in-law. But when we chose to go to the theater is we think that the movie needs to have a nice sound and watch on a huge screen without forget the pop-corn and other snacks.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it depends on the movie. When I have been waiting a long time for a movie I like to go to the Theater, for example the Twilight Saga. But when I think a movie could be ok, but it isn´t a great movie, I prefer to watch in my house because I can talk with my partner, I love talk about what I think is going to happen!
Rent a movie and watch it at home. Because its comfortable and more relax-able.
ReplyDeleteI watched a movie on a theater last thursday. I watch Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, it was awesome! I really enjoy the special effects and the story behind it. We buy some snacks close to the theater before entering to watch the film.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to watch movies on a theater because It`s much comfortable for me to spend time with my friends watching film there, and It`s much more amazing to watch it in 4DX or IMAX cinema with deep immersion in a film, than watch this film through a monitor/
ReplyDeleteI like to see movies in the theater because they have a lot of special effects. The surrounding sound system in the cinema engages you with the movie. I also like to make it a date night out with my wife. It costs around $12 to $14 per ticket where I live now, but in Puerto Rico it was more around $7, so half. But here the theater even has a liquor bar inside, which I like.
ReplyDeleteI will choose to watch it at home rather than catch it at theater.It is because when I watch it at home I wiil not spend the money to buy a ticket to watch the movie because I will purchased it at Netflix and iflix.And the other factors why I choose to watch at home because I do not have to get ready to go cinema I can watch it at home with my family.

I would rather go to the movie theater.It has the latest movie in there and it's kind of fun to watch them on a big screen with a huge popcorn or a cup of soda.Watching at home makes me feel annoyed due to the busy street and sound outside of my house.
