Home Repairs: What would you fix?

Think about the place you live. If you could fix or change one thing about your place, what would it be, how would you change it, and why? Personally, my wife and I have wanted to fix up our kitchen for some time. The wall paper is a little old, and so is the floor, and the counter top and sink really need to be replaced. However, we are pretty frugal with our money, so I think we'll wait to take care of other expenses first.

So, what about you? What would you fix or change? Share your ideas.

  3. First I will fix all the leaks, I have two one in the kitchen and another in the shower head. Then I will paint the walls since they are all soiled and staind from child drawings. Afterwards I will change the furniture, I would like to have a new living room. Finally I will change the tile from all the house. I have carpet and I will change it for a nice white tile

  4. I just arrived in Australia about 5 months, there are many appliances which I want to replace. But we have home loan, short of money. So I can do nothing but wait. If I have enough money, I'd like to buy a dining table and chairs, we improvise having dinner with teatable and sofa. The kitchen appliances are very poor, under bad condition, I hope to replace them too. The bathroom's decoration is not my style, I want to change. There are so many appliances that I want to change.

  5. The carpet needed to be cleaned. I ask my landlord but he did not do that. One of the button on the stove was damaged. It's slight problem because i can use three other buttons. The signal internet keeps flashing. Sometimes, I'm not able to go to the Internet.

  6. I think I would repaint the bathroom because vapour emanating from warm water deteriorates the paint. Moreover, I spend very much time in the bathroom, which doesn't ease things altogether. At home there isn't wallpaper in the kitchen because when cooking, a layer of grease or condensation covers the walls. The effects of these layers in the kitchen are not as damaging as the layer of condensation that forms in the bathroom. I also think that even though one is strapped for cash, he or she can do some works at home. Because paint and tools are not that expensive. I am really telling myself that this is what I should do. But I still need to find the time ...Anyway, if there is wallpaper in your kitchen, I recommend that you remove it because it absorbs the grease and condensation that cooking produces.

  8. My parents want to change the kitchen but to do so we would have to live in another place for a while until all the work is done, since we would not be able to have our meals at home.(I really don't think that it would be necessary cause we could improvise by moving all the food and appliances to another room of the apartment)Last year we changed the bathroom and the whole process took about one week and the result was great. It used to be an old-fashioned bathroom and now it's completely brand new and very beautiful.I'd like to change my room by painting its walls and redecorating it with new furniture.

  9. I think I will fix my room. It feels like it lack of something so I would ask my parents to help by buying wallpaper or painting the house. Other that, I think it's okay.
