Perfect Grammar or Pronunciation: You Choose!
If you could either speak English (1) with perfect accuracy with an accent or (2) with perfect pronunciation along with some grammatical mistakes, which situation would you choose and why?
I'd like to speak accurately with my mother tounge accent because with accuracy people could understand what I say. If I can't state my opinion or thoughts clearly, no matter how perfect my pronunciation is, people wil not catch my idea and will even get confused by my words. Then, I would feel extremely bad by the situation. So, I would try my very best to talk to people with correct grammatical skills although I have my Chinese accent.
I would like to speak accurately even though with my mother tounge accent. Because if I cannot state my opinion or my thoughts clearly, no matter how perfect my pronunciation is, people still cannot understand what I say. So, I would try my very best to talk to people with correct grammartical skills although I have my Chinese accent.
I would prefer to speak English with perfect grammar and pronunciation.I wouldn't use a fake accent ,but try to speak the words correctly,so that People would understand what iam talking about.
In my opinion, I like to speak good english the same Amarican. But I have to had perfect grammar first. Then I could talk with any body when I work or go out, and my parents would very happy with that. But with my skills now, I will continue study perfect grammar or pronunciation. I will feel comfortable more with my knowlege.
I have never really thought about this before... I have learned Spanish as a second language and am very proficient, but my grammar and spelling are horrible!! So, I would want better grammar skills. But, for an immigrant to America I think that having better speech abilities is extremely important. Lets face it; how often are you judged by a document, but rather than by how you present yourself?
I preferre to speak English with perfect accuracy with an accent because like this I can tell my mind and my opinion
