Positive Thinking: What if you could change the world?

We live in an imperfect world, and many people suffer from personal, social, environmental, medical, and even political problems, but if you had the power to change one thing in the world for the benefit of others, what would it be? Share your idea and explain why your choice would make a difference.

  1. I'm just a normal person, so I don't have any power to change the world. What I can do is helping the unlucky people as much as I can. I hope that they feel happier.

  2. You can't change anything, because the world is too much complex. If you change something another worse injustice can appear

  3. I can change the world just by being a positive and generous person. Just try to do the best you can and all the people around you will notice the difference. Monique CastaƱeda. Mexico City

  4. I think changing the world is too much. However, one can surely contribute to the improvement of his/her community by being involved in local projects and/or respecting the laws and the others who live in the same place as you do. I always tell my students that they first must learn how to live together in the classroom respecting each other's differences before being involved in any global issues. It's just like acting locally but thinking globally.

  5. I think I can not change the world, but I only can change a little part of world, that is around me. To teach my children how to be a useful people in world, to be a optimist, smile to people around us. To help friends and relation who need in our power

You can change your own thinking or behavior. It is impossible to change the world by your own power because you cannot control all people thinking.

If you can change the world, please stop war/disease in the earth and let the earth more green.

  7. It just reminds me of one thought appeared in the Bible. Ecclesiastes 8:9 says, "...man has dominated man to his injury." I don't think men are qualified to govern themselves because they are not only lack of ability to do so but also selfish at the bottom. Though over the centuries men have tried various forms of government and there have been many well-meaning leaders, true, sometimes sincerely attempting to solve problems and to better people's lot, but they couldn't solve our fundamental problems we face at present. For example, as regards the food problem, food shortage is not the real cause. That’s a matter of priorities. Many developing nations are often instable socially and politically, so more concerned with stocking their arsenals than with filling empty stomachs. See the case of North Korea. She has huge sums of money to the point of launching a satellite, but doesn’t care for her own starving people. In fact, the world already has surplus grain, but the problem is that many of the poor simply cannot afford it. On the other hand, food is a powerful weapon on the international scene, so the food-surplus nations hesitate to give aid to those suffering countries.
Who could re-examine and re-order social, economic and political priorities on a large scale? I could think of no man….

  8. This topic let me think of a movie which name is "The Butterful Effect". The hero in the movie has the ability to change things had happened. But this story didnt have good ending. This story tells us that the world is quite complex. We make something better, some other things may turn worse. That's what i think.

  13. I can change anything after I change my own thinking about change. That is the idea around positive thinking. I am happy with who I am and others thoughts don't matter as much. Someone says a bad thing about you, you get back up and prove them wrong.
