In today's world, most teenagers have many issues to deal with: family expectations, future education, relationships, and social pressures. In fact, these issues can differ widely from culture to culture. My question is whether having a part-time job as a teenager can benefit them socially, emotionally, or economically. Some people say that it helps them become independent, while others might say that working interferes with their education. So, what do you think? Please share your experiences and any cultural expectations where you live.

I think teenagers should study only. They must devote to their studies before thinking of looking for a job. It seems that those who are highly educated end up having better jobs than those who, for some reason, needed to work part-time to help their families.
ReplyDeleteI agree to that the teenagers should not work part time during the semester, but during sommer or winter vacation I think it is ok. My reasons are following:
ReplyDelete1. They can learn more new knowlage that can't be acquired from textbooks.
2. They can know new friends.
3. Some time teenagers have too much free time and don't know how to spend it. I am afraid of that they will do something terrible, for example: taking drugs. Therefore the part time job will reduce strongly their energy and possibilty for doing something terrible.
4. By means of a appropriated part time job you can practice or prove the specialized knowlage that was learned from school on the place of work.
Teenagers recently tends to look for a part time job to support their study. However, you have to consider it carefully because a part time job can really interfere with your study, your free time and your social life. It may be difficult to balance out your school and work schedules.
ReplyDeleteDepending on the type of job you're after. If it relates with your interest, help build up your resume, or something you enjoy doing then why not? Most importantly, it doesn't stress you too much to the point where studies become a drag. Always keep in mind what your priorities are and keep reminding yourself of it.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, if you need to work part time/full time to help pay your tuition fees, then it may lead to stress. While some students find stress builds character and loves the challenge, others may find it exhausting and depressing. If the latter, working part-time or full-time during the holidays might be the best solution for you.
Hence, keep a healthy mental lifestyles. Rationalize and lead your life. Not letting life lead you.
I think they should, of course!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is more important than money??? Nothing is more important than money, isn't it? Money is the most important for us, isn't it?
So, even teenagers should make some money.
You may say that family, friend or happiness are important. BUT!!How can we make them? We must have money to make family, friend, and happines.
Needless to say, teenagers must study^^;
I don't think they should do, but I want they to be permit to work, because perhaps in the world some people need more money for study. Also it makes easy to work when they get out into world. They may know some rules to work and to talk to other people. They may find jobs that they want ot do in the future.
ReplyDeletein my opinion every tennager who is older than 15 should work part tme, so they can get better experience of working in their life. teenager should also work to help their parents with paying bill. teenager should work so they can have money, so they don't have to ask their parents for money.
ReplyDeleteI think teenagers should work part time. Not study only.when they are work, they can studyt more new knowlage and skill from their job, not on the book, i think it is more useful. The Teenagers have to make they own money not just speed their panters. they can experience of working. The teenagers have lots free time. If they go out to work. i make the life felt rich. not like just stay home play the computer games or doing other things.
ReplyDeleteto my mind, teenagers should work part time. they learn to be more independent. they are conscious of the efforts their parents do to earn money.they get experience and it's helpful for the future.
ReplyDeletein fact in France peope who don't pratice a job early, has less chance to acquire a job later compared to those who are experienced.
plus teenagers don't depend from their parents anymore ! if you want to buy something, work harder to get it, don't count on your parents to have it.
in addition having a job is very helpful if we want to pay and to learn the "exam" to drive,or to aid the parent t finance our flat or the bills.
