  1. The fashion trend about fake or nonprescription eyeglasses is really popular in Taiwan where I lived in. Instead of essential stuff for nearsighted people, the glasses nowadays is becoming a fashion accouterments with the various dressing. A lot of girls choose the colored contact lens to show their unusual styles, moreover they put on the special contact lens which could make eyes seems to be more larger. The extreme fashion trend would not stop in a short time.

  2. I can understand the reasons why people like to keep up with fashion, everybody wants to be good-looking. But there are some people especially young people that are addicted to fashion. They can do anything to chase it, even to hurt their bodies. Wearing of fake and nonprescription eyeglasses is an example. This so-called fashion is so different from styled clothing or hair because it can really hurt your eyes.there are some reports that wearing of inappropriate glasses cause to decrease eyesignt or go blind. In fact, there are many qualified glasses having good shapes and colors in glasses stores, why don't choose one?

  3. Wearing of fake eyeglasses is a very silly and funny fashion. Fortunately it isn’t a trend in Hungary, where I live. I know a girl who wore fake eyeglasses when she was 14 and she called them ‘John Lennon-eyeglasses’. :) But then, after a few years, she threw it away. I agree with cindy, wearing non-prescription eyeglasses is a very unhealthy thing. Everyone’s eyes are different and single, so you mustn’t use eyeglasses what aren’t for you. But unfortunately there are a lot of people in Hungary, who haven’t got enough many to buy appropriate eyeglasses, so they buy cheaper non-prescription eyeglasses on the market.

  4. I don't think there's any argument about the reasons why they choose the fake or nonprescription eyeglasses. We understand that they are only chasing the fashion blindly, expecting to be shining among their group. But they might not realize that, the fake eyeglasses or the colored-contact lens don't change the real them, because what essentially define or characterize a person is their unique ideas and personality. They even don't know they are being made good use of by the merchandisers, who creat a charming story with some idol, misleading consumers, especially youngs to not only wasting parents' money, but also buying for harms to their health. Youngs in our area, Shenzhen, once crazily chasing this fashion. Luckily, it seems to be quite a rest now.

  5. Well now, over in good old England the idea of fake glasses didn't really appear until quite recently.

David Tennant, who plays Doctor Who (the most britishy british show there is), wears fake eyeglasses as part of his 10th Doctor costume, and it's been made popular amongst Whovians.

I admit that I'm having a look around but obviously I'm going to make sure that I don't mess up my eyesight from it.

  11. From above discussion, I found the nonprescription eyewear treand is more prevalent among asian countries, such as Korea, Taiwan and so on. Then I recall there are a lot of rediculous trends going on in my country, such as losing weight. I'm from Taiwan. Most girls in my country are crazy about diet. Even though they are skinny, girls still think they are fat. So many girls got depression as they increase one pound on weight. Some gils feel guilty after eating food so that they are used to throw up what they just eat. They are sick because of keeping up on fasion blindly. They want to become as skinny as models on the catwalk. There is no right or wrong to love fashion. The point is how to keep the balance in the process. If you won't hurt yourself, doing what you like can make life more interesting. However, if you become deoressed or poor eyesight after keeping up on the fashion, you are fooled by the fashion.

  12. In the case of Mexico is common to find fake brands or different types of glasses because peoplewant to stay fashionable. This new way of glasses is derived for the industry of fashion, and obviously every one wants to be fashion. I think the important is to stay comfortable so if you like contact lenses you use it, every one decide the best for them.

  16. Wearing fake or nonprescription eyeglasses and colored contact lenses are trendy in HK. On TV, maganzines and streets, you may see the models, artists and pop singers they follow these fashion trend. SO teenagers follow what they like, that is their freedom. I dont stop this growing fashion.

In my mind, some people retort that wearing colored contact lenses may hurt your eyes. I partly agree with their sayibg. But the main problem is that they are unsuitable to protect their eyes. Wearing colored contact lenses is not a mian point. Someone develops a mild inflammation in the eye because of lack of clearing lenses, wearing in long length and wearing them with low skills. So the major responsibility should lie on the users.

This growing fashion can totally build up your styles and self-confident. Although the beauties like following the fashion trend, they can freely build different looks they like. Also, someone has none of fashion senses so if they just wear the classoc eyeglasses or colored contact lenses, you will look fresher and more attractive. Thus, Fashion that is a creative art builds a beauty feeling.

I know some people dont appreciate the growing fashion but none of power to change anything you dont like. About this growing fashion, youths absolutely have freedom to follow thr trend. But they should reference the fashion advices and find which eyeglasses or lenses suitable for them.

  18. In my country, some young girls like wearing colored contact lenses which can make their eyes shining and bigger. I also think girls whose eyes are charming are attractive to me. If one girl wears traditional eyeglasses on the street, I will not notice her.

  21. In my case I usually wear eyeglasses because my eyesight is now so weakened that I am almost blind. but when I go outside I always contact lens for my style. I know most of people, especially girls wear colored contact lens and put on the special contact lens which could make eyes seems to be more larger. That is part of fashion trend. and I guess they'll develop another fashionable contact lens for their feeling of satisfaction.

  24. Many young people wear eyeglasses just for fashion reasons now. The ones chose famous brand’s eyeglasses to cath up fashion trend, the others wear eyeglasses to change their appearance and don’t care about that these eyeglasses are famous brands’ or not. Besides, some high school or college students wear eyeglasses which there is no glasses on just to suit for their clothing. In my opion, a pair of eyeglasses isn’t only a tool to improve our vision, but also is a ornament for our appearance. Therefore, I think none care about someone’s eyeglasses is a fake or famous brand’s one, even wearing eyeglasses’ frame only.

  26. Wearing fake or nonprescription eyeglasses is becoming more and more popular in Taiwan. I think this is a trend. Many TV stars and singers wear these eyeglasses or colored contact lens. The young people would imitate them as a fashion. Buying eyeglasses or colored contact lens is very easy in Taiwan. I am really concerned about the harms caused by nonprescription eyeglasses or contact lens. Nearsigned people had better consult a eye doctor before wearing them. Besides, disinfection of contact lens should be instructed in detail by the specialist.

  27. I don’t know anybody who wears nonprescription eyeglasses for fashion reasons. In my case I wear eyeglasses because I have myopia. I found uncomfortable wear contact lens only for fashion reasons. Normally you have to clean them everyday, take care with the wind or the dust in your eyes.

So, as for me - I don't understand why wearing glasses can make u more fashinable or respectable. It's my opinion - but some people (especially girls) think glasses make them beautiful. Fortunately I have good look - so I needn't to wear glasses and I don't wear them for some other reasons. I think it doesn't have meaning. My friends wear contact lens and I think thats great invention!

People can get various types of glasses in opticians or ever street market. Some are fake and some are real glasses. I got curious about getting one before, but I've never tried it yet. Maybe next year if I was not indecisive, I would buy one! hopely,, haha

  31. My name Hang. I'm come from Viet Nam.eyeglasses is divided into 2 classes: for medical purpose and for aesthetic purpose. people often wear eyeglasses when they have problems with their eye such as: myopia, preabyobia... However, fake and nonprescription Eyeglasses come more and more popular nowadays. Many people, especially female, wear fake or contact lense so that it make them more beautiful regardless of bad effect on their eyes. It's recommended that contact colour lense may hurt your cornea and cause blind sometime. So, the best way is using appreciated eyeglasses .......

Hello my name is Diana I am from Colombia, I think that eyeglasses fake or nonprescription is commun in my country, but colored eyeglasses is more common in women and give themselves a look more expressive. there are variety of colors; even I had ones by a few time, but I don't liked isn't comfortable. bye

  33. In my country, Colombia, it's very popular to see the young people, even older, wearing a fake or nonprescription eyeglasses. They feel better and fashionable. Women utilize colored contact lenses because they think that they'll be more cute and perhaps they can be more attractive.
I'll only use eyeglasses or contact lenses when the ophthalmologist recommends me.
I think most people who wear glasses do not need them, and most glasses stores have a section of luxury eyewear.

    Some women look really beautiful...

my advise to those youth is you are beautiful and fashion as you are so dont bother yourself looking for fashion that can be very harmful to your health because your health dont cost money.

  39. It happens in my country, Vietnam, too. I see that many people wear fake glasses or contact lenses, include me. That has many benefits. First, those fake glasses are cheap, so we can buy many, we can change them to suitable with our clothes style. Secondly, sometime we will have more than one glasses or contact lenses, so maybe one is real, and the rest of them are fake. We will wear the one real for a long time, and the fake for a short time.

  41. This fashions are popular in my country. Nowaday, teenagers want to change their apperance to attract looks. Some of them want to be their Korean idols and start using contact lenses to become more "foreign". A few people use contact lenses and glasses because their eyesight isn't good - they can't see anything clearly.
