Moab's Red Hot 50K Trail Race

So, what did Randall do to celebrate Valentine's Day with his wife? Well, I'm somewhat crazy, but I ran an Ultramarathon (a trail race longer than a marathon at over 50 kilometers) in a southern part of the state of Utah near a famous national park called Arches.

It was a really hard endurance run, but my wife supports me in my crazy activities. She was waiting me at the finish line. It took me almost 8 hours to finish the race.

After you've been married more than 20 years like I have, couples do a lot of unusual things to support each other . . . love is great, isn't it.
I have discovered that getting away from computers and enjoying nature is just a more peaceful and relaxing way to spend my time. My wife and I enjoy running street races as well, but we're not fast. Just participating in a running event, whether your first or last, has its own reward.

  1. My wife and I have been together for over 11 years now. We also support each other and have done lots of things together but what we enjoy most is traveling to other cities or different states within Brazil. Every year during our vacation we travel to a different place. We have traveled by car, bus, train, plane and last year we went on a cruise to the Northeastern part of the country. It was great! In 2010, we're planning on traveling to the North again where there are lots of beautiful beaches and friendly people! By the way, did you know we celebrate Valentine's day on June 12th? All the best!

  3. It is really crazy. That is great still to respect, to attract each other after having been married more than 20 years. Let me admire. Any sports bring people fresh air, joy, health, special relax after working of brain. Every day in the morning I like to jogging about half an hour then doing work.

  4. I have been together with my girl friend for more than three years. I find that to plan for something together is the best way to know each other and make our relationship much firm. During the planning, the different points of view will be revealed. It's a much better to know what kind of person he/she is than just chat about something. You're so lucky to have such a great wife to support what you want. I wish I and my gf may love each other as much as you do while we have been together 20 years.
